Unverified reports suggest that seven mysterious drones were seen flying over Kolkata on Tuesday night, reportedly coming from the Maheshtala and Behala areas. The incident is causing widespread speculation, especially since the drones were reportedly spotted near sensitive areas such as the Second Hooghly Bridge and Fort William.

A large part of the Maidan area falls under the jurisdiction of the Indian Army. Kolkata Police have reportedly been in contact with military authorities regarding the matter. Eyewitnesses claim to have seen strange lights in the sky—lights that are not typically visible in the night sky. These unusual sightings reportedly caught the attention of army personnel.

According to sources, a duty officer at Lalbazar Police Control Room was informed of the situation, and several police stations were alerted. Officers attempted to investigate, but due to low visibility at night, it was difficult to confirm details. It is believed the objects moved in a circular motion, similar to the pattern of drones, and lights were seen disappearing behind high-rise buildings.
