IAF Pilot Wing Commander Namansh Syal Killed as Tejas Fighter Jet Crashes at Dubai Airshow; Court of Inquiry Ordered

This special report details the tragic crash of an indigenous Tejas fighter jet at the Dubai Airshow on November 21, 2025, which claimed the life of Indian Air Force pilot Wing Commander Namansh Syal. The bulletin includes the final video of Wing Commander Syal interacting with Minister of State for Defence Sanjay Seth shortly before he took off for the ill-fated flight.

Following the accident, the Indian Air Force has ordered a court of inquiry to determine what led to the crash, which took place during a high-risk aerial manoeuvre. An aviation expert featured in the report explained, “The pilot likely attempted to pull the aircraft out of a low-altitude recovery into the next manoeuvre. In that moment, the aircraft appears to have gone out of control and impacted the ground.”

The inquiry will now focus on whether the disaster resulted from mechanical failure, pilot error, or an aerodynamic miscalculation.
